Our new requirement is for someone who is fully conversant with Joomla , the open source content management system, who will be able to design a template, or adapt a current free template design to satisfy the requirements of BAV both in terms of content layout and corporate colours. In additition, we require one or two graphic designers to produce images and graphics as required to make the website look attractive.

BAV Board Changes
For personal and business reasons our CEO Ferry van Aesch has decided to stand down with immediate effect. However, he'll still be around to kick some life into the server as required and ensure the smooth operation of our great software.
We also bid farewell to Assistant CEO Nicola Romano who also needs to devote most of his time to real world matters such as completing his studies and getting a job! Good luck Nicola! Nicola will remain with us as a pilot and so he'll still be around from time to time.
Ferry and Nicola have done a great job for BAV and we thank them for all their efforts on your behalf.
Taking over the reins as new CEO is Rob Parker, who, as one of the original Board members, has for the past 7 years been the Director of Online Flying and the webmaster of Speedbird Online.
Bryan Clarke vacates the Deputy HR chair and moves up to fill the position of Director of Human Resources
To make up our numbers on the Board we are pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors.
We welcome Tim Brown our Flight School Training Captain who becomes Deputy Director of Human Resources incorporating Pilot Services.
We also welcome Florian Harms as Director of Online Flying. Flo will continue as our Events Co-ordinator in addition to his role on the VATSIM Board of Governors.

We will miss you Robin
It is with deep regret that we inform you that Robin Walker, BAW0003, passed away in the early hours of 1st October 2007.
For the few of you who may have not known him, Robin was a long-standing British Airways Virtual pilot, who served as BAV Human Resources Director since 2003. He was also a well-respected member of the VATSIM community, of which he was an administrator.
As BAV Board members, we will remember Robin as a friendly individual, always ready to help and with an everlasting sense of humour. Above all, he was a good and happy man. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
To honour Robin's memory, we have decided to retire from use the BAW0003 callsign: it will remain forever Robin's.
Good bye Robin, may you ever rest in peace.
Ferry, Nicola, Rob, Bryan.
